Dear Friends and Family (Ohana): BREAKOUT YEAR 2019! “Just because a person is busy, does not mean they are effective” – (Pastor Kent) Being busy is one thing, and being a busybody is another. In fact, idleness is equated with “busybodies”. Why – because the result of idleness, and being a busybody are the same – a life ineffective. See, a busybody is involved in a lot of activities; they are always in motion somewhere; they always have things to do, people to meet, and places to go. They are here, there, and everywhere! However, they don’t advance; they don’t accomplish their goals in life; they don’t get any closer to fulfilling their life’s assignment; their call, or their dream. Busybodies are like a car sitting in a garage with the gear in neutral; and the engine running on idle. Press the accelerator, and all the parts of the engine are in revved up motion; making louder noise – but, the car is ineffective because the car isn’t going anywhere; it’s not accomplishing anything worth accomplishing. “We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies.” (2 Thessalonians 2:11 NIV). Yes, life will get busy…because, God created you to be effective in life! Just be careful, not to become a busybody. The quality of water you drink, can help change 75% of your body! It’s not just the quantity , but the quality of water you drink. Dear Friends and Family (Ohana): BREAKOUT YEAR 2019! “God will use reoccurring problems to motivate you to faithfully seek His Presence.” – (Pastor Kent) We all encounter problems in life. That’s a fact of life. Yet, there are times when these problems become the same reoccurring problems. You know the ones. It’s those problems that doesn’t seem to have a resolution, or an end. It’s those same problems that we face “year after year” that’s become a predictable cycle in a person’s life. It’s those problems that people often say “What’s new; I expected it; well, it happened this year, so it’ll happen next year; I had this problem last year, and I still have this problem this year, and I’ll have this same problem next year too.“ We need to be and do like David, especially when re-occurring problems are beyond our natural control: “Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David sought the presence of the Lord…” (2 Samuel 21:1 NASB). In other words, God will use reoccurring problems to motivate you to faithfully seek His Presence. Notice, scripture doesn’t say “David sought for answers”. No, instead, David was motivated to faithfully seek the presence of the Lord during the three year famine. The Good News is that, even though it took three difficult years…David passed the faithfulness test; and it was in God’s Presence, did the Lord answer David.
